General Booking Conditions
1. Introduction
These terms and conditions are valid for all guests to the chalet “Illa”.
(As at 01.02.2009)
2. Bookings
Guests can book in advance. Any queries or bookings received will be checked by the chalet “Illa” as to availability of accommodation, and confirmation will be sent by email or post.
A down payment of 20% of the total cost of the accommodation is to be paid 10 days after receipt of confirmation of the booking; payment of the balance is to be made 4 weeks before arrival.
The booking is valid after receipt of the down payment. If payment is not received by the time agreed, the reservation is invalid and the chaletwill be made available to others.
We recommend taking out a travel cancellation insurance policy when making the down payment, which is binding.
3. Prices
All prices are in accordance with the current prices according to season, as laid out on the homepage in the internet, or which are available on request.
4. Arrival and departure times
The chalet is available from 3.00 p.m. on the day of arrival. However if you will not be arriving before 6.00 p.m., or not on the pre-arranged day of arrival, please inform us by telephone beforehand. On the day of departure the holiday house must be vacated by 10.00 a.m. at the latest.
5. Payment
All outstanding payments (e.g. visitors’ tax, hand towels, bath towels, bed linen and final cleaning) must be made with payment of the balance, at the latest 4 weeks before date of arrival.
Any damage of any kind to furniture and fixtures in the chalet must be reported, and will be billed to you on the day of departure.
6. Right of refusal
The owners of the chalet ”Illa” reserve the right to refuse permission to any guest to enter the house or take residence in the house if the caretaker is of the rightful opinion that this guest is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or that he is behaving in a threatening or abusive manner.
7. Rules of the house
Pets may only be taken to the house after prior agreement with the landlord.
8. Damage and loss
The chalet “Illa” can in no way be made liable for loss of any guest’s property from the holiday home or the outside storage room.
We assume no liability for damage to vehicles parked in the underground garage of the chalet “Illa”.
Parents are responsible for their children.
9. Cancellation
Cancellation of the contract is possible up to 60 days before arrival without cancellation fee. (The down payment will be refunded in such a way that we incur no bank charges.)
If the contract is cancelled up to 30 days before arrival, 10% of the total cost of the accommodation will be charged in the event that it is not possible to let the chalet to any other guests. An administration fee of 50.00 Euro will be charged.
If the contract is cancelled 29 days or less before arrival without a travel cancellation insurance policy, the total cost of the accommodation will be due, in the event that the chalet cannot be let to any other guests at such short notice.
We recommend taking out a travel cancellation insurance policy!
