Outside rustic mountain hut, inside modern comfort

Our newly built chalet in Silberleiten is located at a height of 1700 meters in the Zillertal Arena (1600 – 2500 m), one of the ski areas with the highest guarantee of snow.

The holiday village of Silberleiten is located on the Gerlosplatte, with a view towards Königsleiten. Access to the Zillertal Arena with its 160 km of ski slopes and 55 lifts can be reached by ski from the chalet “Illa” in roughly 10 minutes. At the end of the day the last ski run can be made directly back to the chalet.

Hochkrimml (1700 meters) is situated on the Gerlos Pass, on the border between the Salzburg district and Tyrol. The winter sport area is made up of three communities – Filzsteinalpe, Duxeralm and Silberleiten and is part of the community of Krimml. Hochkrimml can be reached by car or by bus.

Just round the corner is a cross-country ski run and a trail with a wonderful view of the Zillertal Alps and the Hohen Tauern.

From Silberleiten there is a direct (red) slope down towards Königsleiten, which means that there is a direct connection to the Zillertal Arena. Silberleiten is well-known for limitless ski enjoyment.

A sports shop which rents out ski equipment can be found near the lift. A multilinqual ski course  with Lunch Supervision can be booked in Silberleiten via www.patterer.info or www.skischule-gerlosplatte.at The ski office is opposite the Plattenalm.

Bread, rolls and butter are sold in the Plattenalm. This is one of the most rustic and popular chalets, located directly on the ski slope (about 10 minutes walk away) . Open in the winter saison.

It is also possible (in the winter) to have rolls delivered directly to the door every morning, for a small service charge. The telephone number and further important information can be found in the green folder underneath the television in the kitchen.

The amazing Krimml waterfalls, hiking and climbing in the clear mountain air, skiing and numerous outdoor activities ensure that Silberleiten is a holiday resort for both the winter and the summer.
